How do I tell which is which?
We carefully hand craft each empanada and as with all good things, the difference is in the details. Take a look at how some are round, some half moon, some have a little flap some a crease…
Carne (beef)
Sunfed Ranch grass-fed ground beef, onions, bell peppers, green olives and free-range hard-boiled egg.
Observe the classic fold, half moon with the braid.
Pollo (chicken)
Pulled free-range Mary’s chicken, onions and bell peppers. Mama's favorite.
Its like a rooster head!
Serrano (ham/cheese)
Prosciutto ham, mozzarella, garlic, wild arugula.
Round with the 3 points on the fold.
Hongos (mushrooms)
Crimini mushrooms, organic spinach, green bell peppers, caramelized red onions, mozzarella.
Classic half moon shape with 3 creases in the middle.
Caprese (Mozzarella)
Organic roma tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil and extra virgin olive oil. Italian inspired.
Another round empanada but no creases.
Quinoa
Organic red quinoa, peppers, onions, goat cheese and spinach. A healthy and nutritious choice.
Two flaps on each side.
Batata (sweet potato)
Sweet potatoes, spinach and shallots. Vegan dough.
Flap on one side, pinch on the other one.
Vegan Quinoa
Organic red quinoa, peppers, onions, vegan cheese and spinach. Vegan dough (Earth Balance)
Flap on one side only.
Buen dia (bacon breakfast)
Crispy bacon, eggs, potatoes, cheddar and onions.
Looks like the pollo but has no creases on top…
Soyrizo (veggie breakfast)
Soy based imitation chorizo, eggs, potatoes, cheddar and onions.
Pinch in one of the sides.
